Anyone else think that this pic looks like a stretched A-7?

Yup. Da temporary nose is very  A-7-ish.

Temporary nose or just cut away to allow for the glass for the bombardier's position?

Wow, pretty cool. I'd like to get one to make a C-99 civil variant (Pan Am maybe) just to see people's heads explode.
But yeah, it's a bit expensive and I've nowhere to stash it.

That's the first time I've seen a load-out chart like that, now I know how it goes I'll be doing one of my 1/72 B-36's with these (or a copy of them). Pic shows a Tallboy, Grand Slam and a T12 (been working on the T12 for a while from drawings and dimensions I got from someone)

Mind you in the bottom pic the T12 would go in a B-29 too  --- just

I like the idea of a aerial refueller version (KB-36) - maybe with booms on each wingtip as well as tail.

Could also be a different way of accomplishing the FICON mission without messing with that trapeze; long time in the saddle for the fighter pilots, though.

Picture airborne diorama where models are on posts or hung by wires.  KB-36 refueling one - three B-10, B-17, B-24.  Fine display at model show.

Perhaps a "passing the torch" diorama with a KB-36 refueling a XB-52?

Following the B-36 supposedly there is a 1/48th Boeing B-52 Stratofortress resin/fiberglass kit on the way:

B-36 and B-52 are large enough to be used as coffee tables :)

How long before they add a Tupolev Tu-95 or Myasishchev M-4 or better yet a Handley Page Victor to the 1/48 range? ;)
