A hull from an old Space Battleship Yamato series kit ( the standard Earth battleship, not the Yamato ),
some hull bits from some ancient Revell or Renwal ship, wings from skirt armor off of some 1/35 Mk. IV,
and typically French turrets from a Walther railroad accessories set. Suggestions for a paint scheme and a name would be welcome.

Visible exclusively in this shot, the Winans-Schneider Rotor pod ( to be mounted above the wing )

If you're wondering what in tarnation* a Winans-Schneider Rotor pod is, it's something like these...

Some names for this cool Cruiser:
Roland or Durandal (The wing looks a bit like a sword) both stereotypical European weapon system names.
"le Grand Condé" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis,_Grand_Cond%C3%A9
"Jean Lafitte" if you want a more rakish name.
The turrets look awesome!
-
This looks verrry cool :D
-
Really really interesting!
As for the name, if you want to keep the French flavour, spiced up with some Australian influences, I would suggest
"Antoine Raymond Joseph de Bruni d'Entrecasteaux". Or the abbreviation "Bruny d'Entrecasteaux" ;)
The guy that explored the Australian coast in 1792, looking for the lost expedition "La Perouse".
His name was given to the Bruni Island and the d'Entrecasteaux channel, in Tasmania.
Sadly, he died of scurvy.
-
This is bold! I love it :-*
-
Thanks, Colleagues - much appreciated.
Work proceeds - the engine pod is awaits detail.

Getting closer - needs more guns, andstruts, and paint, of course.

That's brilliantly mad!! :-*
That sums up Dr Yo, perfectly, but you forgot the "evil" part.
(Evil, brilliant, mad scientists seeking to attain world domination appreciate it when you get the little details correct. ;) )

This is going to be great!

Brilliant! And twisted! :)
... And after some deliberation, I am calling this one the Ubu Roi
Second and third of class to be the Ubu Cocu and Ubu Enchaîné? ;D

Formidable impressive creative :)
The high tech end of low tech would you say ?
Inspiring for doing builds of similar nature :)
-
What an innovative design! That's pretty intriguing and imaginative.
-
Looks like it would definitely hurt someone, if so disposed. I love the Winans Bros. inspired engines!
