If you are going with single-engined tigers, how about a matching single-engined Talon with moernized and updated cockpit?  Too, given the somewhat modular nature of the T-38/F-5 design with everything the same from the canted aft cockpit bulkhea aft, you could also do a single- or twin-seat recce bird or repackage a designation pod in the recce nose as a fast Forward Air Controller.

Perhaps a more British Sabre Dingo carrying two Firestreaks or Redtops and using the same radar fitted to the P.1109 and the HUnter that trialed the Fireflash?

How about a B-44B/washington B.@, ior MR.2, in RaAF service with twin ADEN turrets replacing the four .50 cal. turrets?  Start with a B-50 kit, add the turrets and guns from a Tu-4 conversion, and then add whatever other mods seem appropriate for your approach.

More packaged machine guns.  This pair of podded weapons are from the 1/48th scale Monogram Models Douglas A-26 Invader kit.  The bomber version with the bomb aimer nose configuration and all-black paint scheme.

Attached images to show how crude these things are.  I addressed some of the seam issues with 1200 grit sandpaper and some follow up wet sanding with a bit of cleaning detergent.  No decision made on what model will have the things.  The A-20/TB2D Havoc is one candidate.

The MRAP vehicles look interesting. Something in the article about adding a ramp on the back.

it could turn into a search and rescue vehicle.

Like this ?  Again a real factory concept with a model displayed at a sales convention - only without the forward engine that I've added.

That’s a good possibility!

Looking very nicely executed so far
Thanks for that compliment.  Truth be told, the in-person view is not as nice with a lot of cement scars and scratches that the mobile phone thankfully can not capture.

It has been interesting working on two kits at the same time.  Double your pleasure, double your frustrations/fun?  I have yet to make any progress on assembly of the wings so that I can do the dreaded cut across the span and attempt the wing-folding again.  It is fortunate that the Monogram Douglas TBD-1 Devastator and the A-20 Havoc share a very similar airfoil shape so that made the fill the hole in the wing problem an easy fix but getting the wing cut is where I am dreading to go until I feel more confident in my idea.  There is one seam line across the chord of the wing right near the landing light feature that looks like it will be the cut line.  This works out until you get to the landing flaps which jut out at an angle thanks to the tapered trailing edge.  I have to cut across the landing flap along that angle to get what I want and I really need a steady hand for that to work.  So until that fateful moment, I will stay busy with the other details on this and other projects that are all within arms reach of my little work space.

For their age, KP kits were usually very good. A bit heavy with the rivets (although they're tiny) and some of the their kit canopies are thick, but in general, their kits were surprisingly good builds.

For the decals, a week in a sunny window followed by a spray of a clear acrylic, just in case they decide to break apart.
