Hello!
Now it's time to make a model that was in my head for a long time.
To make long story short...it still will be Lublin with floats but low-wing, RR Merlin and foul-blade prop :)
Because Lublin RXIII has a additional symbol hydro/ter(which probably means that it can be on floats-hydro, or on wheels - terrain, but I'm not sure), I thought that it can be a basis for new name for experimentaly modernised Lublin with RR Merlin :) That's how Lublin Hydro Terror was born :)
I'll use Mirage Hobby 1/48 Lublin R.XIII ter/hydro for main parts and ICM 1/48 Spitfire Mk.VIII. These are very cheap kits. Mirage Lublin is veeeryy simple set, old one too. Spit is quite detailed but I'll need only Engine and it's cowling and some cockpit details.
How it looks with Merlin? Just like on photo below :)

wow ?

Neat!

Now, even with your parts together, this one's hard to visualize :o Watching with great interest

Maybe now it'll be easier :)

Sweeeet

Looking good.
-
Looks good, but you're going to need some ballast in the back with that engine so far out in front.

Yow! That is impressive  But I'm thinking that you've got room for a tandem second Merlin in that cowling ;)
-
I can see that with spatted tricycle undercarriage in the BdB Memorial GB. ;D
-
wow what a transformation.

Not this time...Floats are already mounted :)

Twin floats qualify as honorary spats ... or maybe galoshes?
-
That snout just gets more impressive at different angles.
Layout is really interesting

I wonder, if there is too much completed to be transfered to BdB Memorial GB? There will be a small dio and pilot figure so if it's possible then I'll be pleased :)

Consider it done.

I can see this hurtling around a Schneider Trophy Race course . . . 8)
cheers,
Robin.

Many thanks:)
Struts are in places, glued and puttied. Now it's time to sand.

Nice!

Looks about ready for the Schneider Trophy!
-
Since Lublin was poorly armed in original form, mine got this. Two MG's from scrap box, a bit of styrene and a gun station as it should be :)

Excellent notion!
If any other Schneider Cup racer looks likely to overtake the Lublin - gun 'er down ;D

Wash, some weathering and that's all for Lublin...

Why this number? There is silly joke in Poland...What means 777 ? New, better Beast :)
-
Looking fast even with floats & struts. Bunch of engine & prop for small floatplane. Colors work well. :-*
-
Exquisite! 8) :icon_alabanza:
-
That's quite a beast +111! The engine and prop really look fantastic.
-
Outstanding!!
-
Gorgeous!! My only quibble is that the wing looks too far aft for good balance and stability.
-
The rearward placement of the wings does emphasize that awesome snout though!
-
Like it, like it a lot !!!!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
