Beware the RAbbit.
Steve Gallaci will have to give you the full story behind his illustration.
I fully intend to realize it in 1/32nd

Yep, Steve is the brains behind Albedo:

Here is a web gallery of some of his stuff:

I recognize some of his work from the gallery you linked as also from one on DeviantArt. I probably even have him on my watched list. The fascinating thing is that he was a illustrator for the USAF (didn't know they had artists!) before freelancing.

There are a number of anthro or "furry" genre webcomics and novels out there and many also seem to share very detailed what-if vehicles of all kinds.

That animal armour - which is to scale and truly stunning when seen for real -  is the work of Calgary-based Jeff de Boer. William Gibson described de Boer as a cross between Cartier and 'sunny' HR Giger:  http://jeffdeboer.com/

Check out is his 'How To' section, especially 'Make a Samurai Cat':
http://jeffdeboer.com/HowTo/MakeaSamuraiCat/tabid/78/Default.aspx

Also worth a look are 'Exoforms' and space stuff ... I loved the 'Break in case of Emergency' ray-gun  ;D

I took a Nichimo Ki.61 and carefully mated it to a Hasegawa Ki. 84 with many modifications (among them a slightly heftier radiator). I "Germanized" it with breech bulges and underwing gun gondolas for a bomber-destroyer.

My mind is like a compost heap--fertile AND rotten!

I like that. I think you could afford to shorten the nose a bit though.

In reality, you'd probably need more fin and rudder size as well. And, of course, all armament would have to be in the wings ... so no Hayabusa-style cowl guns.
