CW,

Excellent work on the silver.

Did you do some brush work on the panels to give it a multi hue effect, or is that just the way the model was made, and then unmade by you.

Bravo.

JM:

I start off with the Tamiya grey primer. Then depending on what I the finish I want,  I use either the TS-30 Silver Leaf or the AS-12 Bare Metal Silver colour.

Then I mask off different sections and paint with a brush to get the mixed metal finish.
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Carl,

Sweet. You got the desired effect, wonderfully so!

Top shelf modeling.

John

PS: if you are looking for absolutely amazing silver, which brush paints nearly as good as it sprays, I can not recommend Vallejo's Metal Color more highly. I have recently purchased several and there are many great shades. Grumpy old Bill has them for $13 a pop, but you get double the amount of a normal $5 Vallejo paint so it isn't that much more expensive. And you can use next to nothing, I oft just scoop up the drop that forms on the top after shaking and get good coverage. It dries quickly and needs a couple of coats because it is thin, but it is the best silver I have ever used, bar none.
