What I do in the Shado...s..
« on: December 07, 2018, 09:18:31 PM »
Remember that 1/32 Moonbase Interceptor I made a while ago ?  Well it's got a 1/72 Shadomobile to keep it company now. I was thinking about 1/32 but I wanted to bang this out in a night.  It's a Thingiverse print adequately dolled up.

The Shadomobile looks great! I love that series and have all the DVDs. "What we do in the Shadows" is a great movie as well!

 Are you printing in PLA or ABS/HIPS?

Great build! Are the tracks/road wheels based on any real world tanks?

Love this series when sci-fi shows were very rare.
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

ABS - allows me to treat it like a normal model with complete compatibility with anything I choose to throw on it.  Also, you can't lunchbox PLA !!
...and yes, I'm obviously a fan of that Kiwi film !!

Ta, probably a T-series Russian tank or whatever was at hand for RC application by Gerry's model making crew.

"We're Werewolves, not Swearwolves"

ABS takes more effort to print, but processing the print produces better results! Are you using Acetone vapor smoothing, or just putty and sanding?

"Lunchboxing" - MEK in a sealed ice cream container for a few hours then putty and sanding if necessary.  This is a process where the "less is more" approach is important.
