Title: M113 Space Edition - 1/48 Tamiya
Post by: Antonio Sobral on August 12, 2020, 09:46:31 PM
Hi guys

I have always liked the shape of the classic M113. Simple and elegant.

But also too claustrophobic and depressing, due to the lack of windows :)

So I imagined a version of it with lots of windows, and set up in a space exploration environment.

The story of the transformation of the old 1/35 Tamiya kit is pretty much the following...

I did a little scaleorama, changing it to 1/48, just by adding two figures from Revell and Hasegawa.

With a little primer, it will look a lot better!

Thanks for watching!

Antonio, those images don't come up on screen &, when I opened them up individually, my security system went haywire, & eventually blocked the site as malicious.  :icon_crap:

Sorry. My mistake. The  links are all wrong :(

I deleted them in the first message, but I am having some problems putting the correct ones.

The browser keeps dragging forever, anda then gives me "database error".

I managed to insert just one :(

I will try later.

Working on a pre-loved model.. love that sort of thing

Very Lost in Space (original series) Chariot.. love the work on this and very practical design. Scale-o-rama works exceedingly well.

I am sure you normal finishing talent will make this really pop.
Great work

Ditto! I thought it was looking good but going scale-o-rama kicks it up another notch. Nice one

Beautiful!!  Looks like it could be the moonbus from Arthur C. Clarkes' A Fall of Moondust.

Also shades of the Galileo shuttle from Star Trek .
