When I started the MH-53X build, I started to have some ideas, like running a driveline at 1:4 ratio so the main and tailrotor would be in synch, with a motor spinning the main rotor at 180rpm. And as I look at Academy and Quickboost F-15 stabilators, it seems like it oughtta be possible to run a geared drive around the exhaust plugs to synchronize movement on the tailplanes. (Which in turn led to idle speculation for the SE(s) builds about "can you build in a transmission that in one gear synchs 'em but in a second moves 'em in opposition as elevons?")
So, my question is, anybody here do any of this, and if so do you have any techniques you'd like to share with the community?
