My commisioned build
« on: February 07, 2015, 04:26:21 AM »
Hi all here are the models I have been commisioned to build

What I know about planes you could write on a postage stamp (and still have room for most of the bible) so will be picking brains a lot

Wow! Is your project a Twin-Spitfire 5+5 on the back (Mistel-way) of the Lancaster? How great! ;)

No problem doing your way, you made me dream/invent another way and I am happy, thank you (I may draw it and this is enough).
The start of your model seems very serious very good, congratulations.

Very interesting build!
Close to a shame to hang them from the ceiling without any chance to see your marvellous interior through the canopies!!

Hi all here's a bit i've done on the spits.

Oh, so marvelous!: could you (would you) glue them like that, with fuselages close to one another (and intermeshing propellers, and external wings/wheels only)? This would be such a very marvelous addition to the big Spitfire family!

Rrreally goooood looking, kpnuts!

Funny is, I've seen TV-documentary last week about the dambuster-raids (Operation Chastise) in 1943, especially about the Möhne Reservoir.

Hi all well  I dont like Tamiya decals, they are so fragile, and whats the point of seperate white decals under the coloured ones. Need to order some more 1/48 spit decals ruined the ones from the kit.

I'd say you've captured that famous R.A.F. Bomber Command camo to a T!

Nice recovery from the decal disaster too! I usually have pretty good luck with decals, but when they go wrong, they always seem to do so spectacularly.

Looks like you're in the home-stretch!

Well much as I love tamiyas 1/6 bikes (and I do love them) I will never buy another Tamiya plane (I think I will have to give up on their decals and buy some other manufacturers (assuming they do the same markings)) the decals have fought me all the way, breaking up, not sticking, I just hate them, the bike decals seem fine. It's a shame as the kits go together really well.
I know some of you will say now you know why not buy decals when you buy the kit, well unless I want different markings to the one in the kit I don't see why I should pay again for ones that are in the kit.

Hi all well I'm calling the spits finished(yes I know they are total rubbish but just thought I would post them to prove I've finished them) I'm glad my boss knows less about planes than I do.
