Perhaps, even, someone to take it one step further to the SR P.187 to F.155T in one or both scales (would prefer both, but would settle for either).

I asked Colin few months ago if he would resurrect his SR.53 and he replied he will. But since he has gone back to work full time, that may change,

It is needed. The ancient Airfix kit now goes for silly money on Evilbay and the eastern European copy goes for nearly as much.

A retired RFDS PC 12 is the centre piece of the RFDS museum at Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin

I expect the PC-12 will do rather well as they're popping up everywhere.

I'm amazed the RFDS has already retired one! I guess they're very active and their aircraft run out of hours quicker because of constant use?

Also sometimes do rather "hard" landings on remote airstrips...

RFDS were the first operator of the type from 1994, twenty years plus is not a bad service life for a plane that would have been utilised to the fullest extent, often from dirt strips.

1994? That was entering middle-age for me (would've been 42 or, by the end of the year, 43); never had the mid-life crisis you're supposed to have. Wonder if I can combine it with a second childhood now?

Was cruising the ADF recruiting sites earlier today and was surprised to see most roles have a maximum joining age of between 56 and 61 depending on the return of service obligation the training they provide has.

News from Kits for Cash is that all the remaining (and surviving) Heritage Aviation moulds and stock have now been sold to AlleyCat.

Kits for Cash will continue as before, but with a new name for resin items the owner decided to keep. It's called Simian Stuff.
