1/72 Saab-Hawker Nighthawk NF.9
« on: August 26, 2016, 09:32:06 PM »
Here is another update from Amorous Aviation, LLC.

Our motto is: “We love you all regardless of your fuselage style, wing span or thrust to weight ratio“.

A Love Story: Part 6.

So what happens when you leave an oh so love sick Hawker Hunter FGA.9 alone with very unloved Gloster Meteor NF.12 inside for weekend and a bank holiday and no chaperon?

Well on Tuesday morning when you slide the nursery hanger doors you have a bouncing Saab-Hawker Nighthawk NF.9. It has a nose only a mother could love bit don’t let that distract you from its other fine qualities. But remember parents love their children regardless of their looks.

As you can see it is still a WIP. I need to PSR to blend in the Matchbox NF.12 Meteor fuselage with the Frog Hunter FGA.9. The good news is the two fuselages are very close in cross section. A bit of thin styrene sheet and filler and I should have a nice shape. I will add some dorsal fins to offset the longer nose.

Paint scheme and Nationality is TBD.

Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

What he said!

A great and gutsy idea! The elements work together in an almost "east meets west" sort of way. You could add wing fences and Yugoslav markings and few would doubt it was legit. The Saab angle is most believable as well.

Can't wait to see how this baby progresses!

So true, Lansenesque and yet original. Crumbs, we could have never seen the Javelin if this had been real. Guns and missiles? Please
go the whole way with this one, it's a real whif winner.

If I don't plan it, it can't go wrong!

If it's great, I did it. If it's naff, I found it.
