Title: Czechoslovak Texan
Post by: PantherG on February 22, 2013, 11:45:07 PM
Blue zone
So called "Democratic line of history"....

After WW II basic trainer was Avia C-2 - ex Arado Ar-96B. Later was replaced by more powerfull plane - NA T-6 Texan, built under license by czechoslovak manufacturer Avia in branch factory in Kunovice.
In Czechoslovak Air Force was known like Avia C-5 "pony" (C for "cvičný" - trainer).
Kit is NA Texan 1:72 Academy, marking in manner of real czechoslovak Avias C-2 from LVU - Letecké vojenské učiliště (Military Flying School) in Prostějov.

Would you be able to do a Texan in French service,in Algeria that was armed ?  I've got the old Heller kit and have been wanting to do it one day.

Looks great and I like how those lovely Czech markings are set off by the yellow stripes.

Fantastic is what I would say as well.  Very nicely done and very convincing too.
