I love Strv-74 turret. So I decided to upgunit with the guns of swiss, not swedish, afv (I love the coax 20mm Oerlikon). Then I settled this new turret on different bases; one of them was a Strv-74 itself that I equipped with external fuel tanks ā la S-tank.

What if Sweden helps Ukraine with some obsolete, but useful, bits that are supplemented by ukranians themselves?

Fantastic work ysi_maniac 😯👍, they're to scale are they?

Yeah, I love these constant-scale groupings. And scaling at 1 pixel = 1 cm was dead clever

Not a AFV but I'd love to see one of these Bofors 120mm anti-aircraft guns mounted on maybe a Centurion or Kranvagn hull.

I'd love to see a 1/35 Bandkanon 1:

Hmmm ... S-Tank conversion potential?

Maybe start with a 1/35 Strv 103C kit (Trumpeter 00310) and two sets of 1/35 Strv 103C individual track links (Trumpeter 02056). Not sure about those rear tensioners (Spännhjul) ... they remind me of something Soviet but I can't place them   :(

The hull shape looks simplicity itself (all right-angle cuts). But the turret and 155 would be a challenge. For the turret and magazine, I'm thinking 'old school' bass wood blocks cut and sanded to shape (does anyone even do that anymore?). The barrel has plenty of ins-and-outs - probably a bit of lathe work would be best.

On the other hand, maybe this is a job for Frank's new monster 3D printer?  ;D

And OpFor simulation was never easier  ;)

Note that these photos are of the first prototype which is based on the Kranvagn hull, when the Kranvagn was canceled development then changed to using Strv 103 componants.

The Bandkanon is on my "ideas pile" for future 3D print projects, at the speed I work it might be a decade before I get around to it though...

A non sense: Do you need the russian helmet to drive a russian AFV?

Good point - I was mainly looking at the turret and reloading mechanism when I selected those photos.
