it's clearly a tanker ....... tho which crewman on the other aircraft has to climb out & open the (really big) gas-tank cap I don't know ;D

Cloud seeding is one thing but this is some truly over-the-top rainmaking!

Somehow it just works. Well done!

I can just see it flying with a really big hose attached to direct the fuel to the proper open tank (gotta be a side-opening cap on the tanks, fore or aft hinged would be a pain to open or close in flight.

I can just see a sprinkler, or shower head, nozzle on it for forest fire fighting or rain making.

NATO code name "Gonzo" after the space alien/chicken hybrid from the Muppet Show. Cool use of leftover plumbing as a nose weight.

Adios, Larry.

I stumbled upon these :
(I didn't remember to have seen them anywhere)

what a nice Whiffing material !
I don't know yet what I will do with them, but I'll keep you posted ...

Do you know any other such insect kits?

here we go, I used the first one : crossed the coccinella with a 1/43 citroen 2cv like this :

the VW beetle would have been much too obvious a choice
and like this it looks nice too, the scale-mix fits nicely :

Of course I did it both ways : the wheeled coccinella

and the legged 2cv :

The French Government heard that Germany had a new fantastic vehicle called the "beetle" - Gallic Pride was hurt & the people demanded that a French company build a similar futuristic voiture to keep them in the lead !

Citroen was glad to help but the idea fell down somewhere along the way ......

Because of the german preference to "animalize" vehicles (Tiger, Panther, Fuchs, Luchs, Leopard, etc.) we call the VW "Käfer" (Beetle), as anybody knows. So we also gave the nickname "Ente" (Duck) to the french Citroën 2 CV.
(Divergent, we have called the old Renault 4 CV "Cremeschnittchen" [a sort of small creamcake].)

Fabulous invention, engineer! No need of in-flight refueling anymore! or... is this a whiskey tank for the Scottish pilot/wine tank for the French pilot/beer tank for the German pilot? ;)

:-* Wonderful! (I admit I had never seen the shape similarity between a shuttle and a bottle...)
But is this free advertisement? You derserve $$$ sponsoring (1 zillion dollars, at least), for so geniusly bringing this soda fame up in the sky and even in the space of heroic astronauts :D

The soda can is my favorite of this group. Painting it all red really brings it together nicely!

I can't help imagining a white version done like those generic beer cans with BEER printed on it in large type, just like the original.

Speaking of original, you're without a doubt one of the most original thinkers here at BTS.

The bottle/can new ones are delicious, thanks! But I like even more the group of jet aircraft, scared? disappearing into a cloud... Fortunately (after a briefing from Above?) they come back as Super-Heroes! Wonderful! :-* :-*

Empty beer and coke bottles were actually used in war-time. American planes dropped empty bottles from altitude over Japanese positions at night as a type of harassment and interdiction mission. The eerie whistling and moaning noises were to interrupt sleep and to induce a feeling of uneasiness to hinder the Japanese rest and morale. Low flying spotter plane pilots would place hand grenades with the pins pulled into leftover mayonnaise and pickle bottles to hold the spoons(levers) in "safe' positions with the lids sealed on them. This allowed them to burst on the ground instead of prematurely in the air. Adios, Larry.

Weird! But so genius you are forgiven for posting these walking/Rolling machines/animals in the Aero-space section of the forum: obviously, these insects are able to extend their wings from somewhere and fly. Nothing is impossible, you are proving it brilliantly!
