What's the diameter of those 1/144 eight-bladed E-2D propellers?  I may have a radically different use for them.

Seems Greg has been lax in keeping us up-to-date:

Quote
At long last the correction and upgrade for the 1/48 Vengeance is ready! Production is underway, and we're just waiting for the vacform canopies to arrive from the UK before the kit will be released. Price is still Aus$66 plus post. (See photos below.)

The 1/144 F-111 full kit is still being worked on by Chris, but he has his final year of university that is taking priority at the moment (plus the fact that he ties the knot with Betina later this year). So will keep you all posted ... and, judging by the looks at the F-111 posting, this is an eagerly awaited kit.

And here's a sudden one from OzMods! A 1/32 Yokosuka Ohka II Piloted Flying Bomb full kit! Sorry there has been no prior warning about it ... but it has just happened out of the blue (so to speak). This is a complete resin kit (with decals and vac canopy) that OzMods is producing and marketing in association with Lock On Models. It is the old Lone Star Models kit (from the US) that has been cleaned up and with a few extra parts added. It is currently in production, just awaiting the vacform canopies to arrive. Price is Aus$55 plus post. (See photos below.)

Also due to be released shortly will be a correction/upgrade kit for 1/72 Fokker F-27 Friendships. This pack will include new main and nose legs and wheels, landing gear doors, tail plane and fin corrections. We will post photos of the parts shortly.

Any chance of getting a conversion for a RF-111 in 1/48 and 1/72 (at a minimum)?  I know the RAAF bought the capability but I don't know how much they used it.  Still, it would be a different option and could be applied to other aircraft (thinking of an Avro Arrow with a recce pod instead of a weapons bay pod).

The RAAF used the capability a lot.  A conversion in 1/48 would be very, very nice.

Sorry one and all!  I have been lax!  Re the Vengeance, though, as of today (Sunday 14 April), still waiting for the friggin' vac canopies to arrive!  Same with the Ohka!  Will do a show-all and tell-all then.  Please stay tuned!

We've been talking to someone who has masters in 1/48 almost finished (Lockon Models), and hopefully the RF-111 conversion will see the light of day.  Keep fingers crossed that it eventuates!

1/144  8-bladers are 29 mm diameter.

No, we don't do the eight-bladers in 1/72.  Only do the six-bladers in this scale.

MACCHI 326 VAC CANOPIES NOW AVAILABLE!

OzMods has just released a VACFORM CANOPY for the Italeri 1/48 Macchi 326 kit.

Produced by Falcon in New Zealand, these are the best you’ll ever see!   They are available separately to OzMod’s 1/48 Macchi 326 resin cockpit upgrade kit.  (OzMod’s also produce other Macchi 326 upgrade sets: Nose wheel leg, flaps and 90 gallon tip tanks, mini gun pods, etc – see details at http://www.ozmods-kits.com/ozmods-conversions-upgrades-148 )

Brilliantly clear, the vac canopies come in a pack of TWO SETS (front windshield and separate main canopy) for Aus$8.80.

Buy now from OzMods – www.ozmods-kits.com or email ozmods@bigpond.net.au  – all credit cards accepted as well as PayPal.

Very nice.  Is the engine section separate from the firewall forward?  that could be ideal for doing a T-6 "Texan II" derivative or more.

Cool!  Having worked on the design of the original, I'm definitely interested.  If memory serves me correctly (and we're going back nearly two decades, here), the lines up to the firewall are the same while there are new lines from there forward and new exhausts.  Of course, you've also got the separate windscreen on the T-6 (part of complying with the bird-strike requirements Beech had to meet).
