Leatherman Humvee
« on: March 07, 2015, 08:23:56 AM »
Just joined and decided to share some of my older What-if builds....hopefully they qualify me for this forum :)

Anyway, this is from a few years ago. Took two very old, very bad, Humvees off the shelf and chopped them up to make a 6 wheel ready-for-anything beast

Hope you like it

That 6 wheel Humvee has a lot of potential as the basis for a whole range of vehicles. I like it, a lot!  Do you have any in-progress photos of how you did the conversion?

Oh, where's the trailer/support vehicle that carries the reloads for all that firepower?

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you here.

Looks like you have a weapon for any occasion, threat, or circumstance.

Did the large caliber cannon on the left side of the vehicle start life as the 25mm Bushmaster from the Tamiya HMMWV kit?

Thanks! I may have to get a couple cheap Humvee kits and take a crack at something similar, yet different.  Off to EBay for a bit...

The Academy M998 IED guntruck is a nice kit, fairly accurate, inexpensive and comes with a ton of extras. It's OOP, but Amazon sells them: http://www.amazon.com/Academy-M-998-I-E-D-Truck-Humvee/dp/B00D2IKJ7Q

This six wheeled Humvee is excellent! The modifications to the chassis look believable, too.
