Started this around mid-March and with a few interruptions (getting better) I'm quite pleased with the result. J1N Gekko turret-fighter next.

I should add this is a Japanese version of the Wellington 'Dumbo'. Purely nocturnal, anti-smuggling etc.

Always feel like I'm compensating for something  ;).

Wasn't too sure about barrel-length...a little shorter may have been better for accuracy ?...but then on German a/c etc the barrel seems to be long...so long they are!

The shorter the barrel, generally, the less accurate the gun (unless the shells are over-powered & "barrel whip" occurs).
