MPM XP-56 kit. Being from MPM not a shake-n-bake kit. Ughh! Nose is from a F2H-2P. Engine is aftermarket for a J7W2. Tail from a F-84.

Great concept and it's going together well. The big nose reminds me a little of the front end of the XFY-1 Pogo and it's massive spinners.

Let me guess, its nickname around the hanger was the "Durante".  Beautiful work and concept, you have there.

Wow! Good surprise! The title with F-16 had made me think of something more classical/modern, but your Foto-16 is so different so marvelous... :-*

Great concept!

It combines several aeronautical aesthetic tendencies in a very compact and beautiful shape.

Love it!

Thanks guys.  Insane? Oh for sure. Expect anything less from me?

@ Tophe. During the Second World War the letter F was used to represent Photo Recce aircraft. I used F-16 as it was never assigned.
@ Ed S. Yes it does look like the Pogo.

Just added the last few bits. Off to the paint ship.

On the BU scale, it is a 8 or a 9.

I'd rate it more of a 7 on the BU scale, it takes something like the Zubr  to reach 9 on that scale.

I'm thinking paint & markings will reduce BU ratings.  Becoming more unique than BU.

Excellent build and ... fantastic photography. Really great picture, Carl. Background is perfect.

all best
John

Thank you John and all others.  The backdrop is (for John's info) is Dollarama foam core and sheet of light blue poster board. I watched how our members photographed their builds and noticed that the light blue shows up as neutral background and does change the colour of the subject. I use an iPhone 6 for my photos.
