Airbus A319: New Flanders Air Force

the New Flanders Air Force aquired a single secondhand Airbus A319 in august 2014.
it has underwent overhaul and upgrade at the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France. modifications include the instalation of new SATNAV equimpent, conversion is Quick-Change capability, removal of the luggage compartment to accomodate extra fuel (as in the A319-CJ)
the aircraft will enter service in Januari 2015 and will primarily be used as a goverment transport.
its secondary role will be that of a passenger/troopship aircraft (124 passengers) and Medevac aircraft.
in the latter, the aircraft can carry 20 patients on stretchers and has a Surgical room on board.

Nice!!  Presumably the surgical operating room will be near the doors for immediate transfer of critical cases and would also include supplemental oxygen supplies for use, as needed, during surgery.

(Yes, I'm speaking from experience, a BBJ completed by my former employer in Waco for a concerned older customer).

Nice one Nils, did you use BareMetal foil on the engine intake lips?

no, i used metallic paint (Revell 99 Aluminium)
