SLB HEAVY INDUSTRIES

After a long absence, forced by my lap top used to post photos crapping out, here are a few pictures of SLB HEAVY INDUSTRIES recent projects. More pictures will be posted in the appropriate sections soon.

First up is a Sturmtiger, the white square on the side is battle damage from being displayed at the Great State Fair of Texas this year.

Next up is a BRMD-2 Late that was also at the Texas State Fair.

This is an AMB-S scratch built from the old 1991 Dragon BMP-1.

Now for something different.

This is a Siberian Logging Tractor made from the 1/35 Dragon Scud B Maz-543 TEL

A couple hovertanks.

From the Revel 1/35 SPz Puma

Scratch built hull, turret from Trumpeter 1/35 E-100

Bandai’s 1/100 Tactical Pod Glaug, a.k.a. BattleTech Marauder

On the production floor:  Leopard 2A4 in Turkish colors in Syria.

Very nice builds, Steve! Very nice, indeed! 8) 8)

What did you use for the track-base for the Siberian log hauler? ???

Currently building a Trumpeter BDRM-2 (Late), which I assume is the same kit, hope I can get mine up to the same standard.

Seriously, I can't pick a favourite, they're all awesome! :icon_alabanza:

WOW - those are some builds.
Was BRMD-2 used to play army in back yard or wherever (see its dirty) ?
Paint wear on Siberian Logging Tractor is ultra realistic.

Some awesome models! The BRMD-2 looks well worn and muddy!
The MAZ Siberian logger is amazing - The MAZ 537 has been transformed into so many real world vehicles, that this looks like a very believable conversion.

The track base is all scratch built, inspired by a picture I found on the net of a wargame minature. The tracks are from the Trumpeter E-100 with the wheels/bogies cut in half to make enough to go all the way around. The treads actually only go an inch and a half into the covers on top.

Hello,
I like the logging tractor
So do I!  :D

To be honest, all of them are realistic. I just fancy the logging tractor a little bit more.  It looks like escaped from the Thunderbirds serie  ;)

Definitely my favorite, even though the hover-tanks fall shortly behind :)

Could you share with us some more pictures from different angles? Thanks!

SLB Heavy Industries next project – MBR-04-MkVI DESTOID TOMAHAWK
a.k.a.  Battletech Warhammer

Started this Saturday, must say the kit is engineered very well, no sink holes, no flash and all the sprue tabs are located where they do not show. Most of the major seam lines, except a few, are hidden after assembly. Great fit too. Will have to look at other kits by Wave Corporation (??).  By the way, I did order this from Japan for a pretty penny.

... or, alternately, against each other! :icon_surprised:

*: or at least as side-by-side as you'd want to in a tank battle with counter-fire flying everywhere.

IDF Achzarit
Meng’s Achzarit (early) with Trumpeter tracks and Meng’s IDF load carrying equipment.

Hydra Hovertank.
Scratch built from sheet styrene and tube. Body is based on a Panther hull. The turret of course is a Tiger I, and the secondary turrets are from a couple of BTR’s.
