That's great!  I really like it, especially the unique landing gear!

Cheers,

G'day Uncle Les!!  :) :)

That looks like the offspring of a Boomerang and a Woomera (especially the wings and landing gear).  8)

Excellent scratch build, brilliant finish!!  :-*

Interesting.  The raised observer's position looks a little strange though.  Would this be the Uncle Les of "Uncle Les's Models" fame?

Is that a Woomerang or a Boomera then ;)?

Interesting.  The raised observer's position looks a little strange though.

The observer is actually the gunner/loader sitting astride a Bofors 40mm neatly tucked in under and behind the cockpit (which was taken straight from a Boomerang ) hence his elevated and augmented position. The story goes that the proposal was cancelled as soon as it became apparent that Japanese tanks could be rendered non-combatant by a severe frown.

Would this be the Uncle Les of "Uncle Les's Models" fame?

..I would have thought infamy more an appropriate term...   :D

Infamy it is then, top job.

I like the "severe frown" comment although the thought of Light Horse mounted tank hunting teams popping Japanese tanks with Boys anti tank rifles is fun too.

Original wingsection plasticard from scratch, front fuselage master for vacform fashioned from Airfix Boomer canopy and milliput, rear fuselage and tail started life as a Matchbox Ju188.  Engines from Wirraway, u/c cast in whitemetal from scratch. Props from Matchbox Bf109 - all eventually cast in polyurethane as seen below.

and for those wishing to scratch one themselves..

Would be interesting to see that in either a North African desert scheme or even a Northern Australian scheme.

Twin-boomer? She wasn't twin-boom, at first sight. I have corrected that:

Ahh.. I see I the error of my syntax.  :-[

Here's one with the "ang" at the end.

:P

Love the alteration - if it had two cannons it'd be a twin boom twin boomer twin Boomerang..
