Carl's Kits for Sale
« on: September 14, 2017, 09:25:29 PM »
With Christmas on its way, its important that you generously treat yourself for all the good things you have done this year.

I am putting together a list 20-30-40-50 kits I want to sell to shrink the stash (oh yes, the three words which should never be spoken), to take up less storage room and make some money for the many new releases on my wish list.

And if you haven't read between the lines, I was recently "advised" to seriously look into the matter of styrene sprawl or there will be consequences.  :icon_punal:

So watch this space.
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Is it worth pushing on a 'technicality' and replacing the styrene with resin...

That is a great idea Greg but the issue is with the model packaging. Any box with 1/144, 1/72 or 1/48 written on it regardless of contents is subject to this edict.

I do not have any kits in those scales Guy but I am sure any labeling staring with "1/xx" may come under investigation.   ;D

Ah, so we have to start sending kits in nondescript packaging...gotcha!  ;)

Folks:

Here is my list. Please bear with me as I not aware of a good method to cut-n-paste a spreadsheet into a text reply.

The fine print first.
- Prices are in USD
- Shipping will be via Canada Post. I will provide if requested quotes for both tracked (if available) and non-tracked shipping
- There is always a shipping minimum cost. You can purchase a few smaller kits and not have the shipping cost increase. More is better/cheaper
- If requested I will unbox or box-with-in-a-box the kits for smaller footprint
- I like to use bubble wrap and brown wrapping paper.
- Paypal Good and Services. For Canadians EFT is acceptable

Now on to the kits.
- The kits are from my my stash
- I would like BTS members get first choice. I will be selling on other sites but not for a few days.
- Kits can be new or used
- Scales are 1/144 and 1/72
- To best of my knowledge each kit is completed unless otherwise noted.  If I have made a mistake, let’s talk and find an acceptable solution.
- I have (re)bagged loose sprues/parts where possible
- Most kits are used and will have some amount of shelf wear
- Older kits decals are most likely not usable
- Some kits are still buried (I don't have the best storage method) but I will dig the kit out for you if you are interested
- Feel free to ask if you have a question. Use my home email address:  carl.wimmi@gmail.com
- I will be adding more kits as I get over my separation anxiety

- The kit conditions acronyms are:
NISB - New In Sealed Box
OBSB - Open Box Sealed Bags
OBOB - Open Box Open Bags. Some kits are shipped this way
TBD - I will retrieve the kit and provide the condition

Is there a 1/100 scale federation starship kit out there I could steel warp nacelles off for a 2525 version of the BUFF?

Polar Lights released Enterprise kits (pick your sub-type) in various scales.

I've got the 1/1000 TOS version and I think it might be too long for what you want.

Shouldn't be hard to make your own warp nacelles using drop-tanks.

Or dress up some larger-scale jet engines (like from a 1/72 A3D).

With your birthday, Leif Erikson Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Pan American Aviation Day, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Proclamation Day etc on their way, it is very important that you generously reward yourself, Christmas self-gift for all the good things you have done this year.

Note to Greg, Guy, Brian, Zak: You need more holidays.

I am putting together a list of 70+  kits I want to sell to shrink the stash (oh yes, the three words which should never be spoken), to take up less storage room and free up some money for the many new releases on my wish list.

And if you haven't read between the lines, I was recently "advised" to look (again) into the matter of styrene sprawl or there will be consequences.  :icon_punal:

99.5% will be 1/72 scale. Please watch this space.

Did I say generously reward yourself?
