Something for a little 1:1 stash building.

Tell the spouse, "See, model building is really not that expensive after all!"
I got dibs on the Skyhawk!

Some great pics for the computer wallpaper. The Beech 18 with the mountains in the background is going up on my computer at home.

Geez! North American Aviation used to be near LAX (until the early 80s) and I used to go to their surplus/junk store with my uncle, every few months. They had a single seat Skyhawk for $10K. But of course, no engine. They also had P-51 parts (including canopies). I bet almost everything in that junk store would be a high value collectible.

I'm taking the Fw190D-9, the Saab Draken, the Spartan Executive, and Meyers OTW-160... :))

They will make nice companions to the Nemesis NXT the wife has already said I can have…after the new house is built and paid for:

Is that an RC model? ;)

How would the pilot ever see in front of the plane to taxi? Maybe the old ground guide sitting out on the wing trick.

I'll take the T-28.  Always liked that plane.  Seems to combine good looks with reasonable power and economy.  Perhaps replace the engine with a turboprop like the Taiwanese did.
