Update 12/24
Steps 1 & 2 - Straight up, no mods, went together easy, looks good.

Skipped to assembling the bogies and tracks, did not want to have to handle the body with all the fine details. Cut the bogies to put a piece of antenna in to look like the chrome piston for the track tensioner.

Made a rod between the parts and glued the chrome piece on it, then glued it between the two.

The after market tracks from Easy Link.  Excellent detail, made of soft metal. The pins for the tracks were also made from the same metal, and that created problems until I figured out how to install them with out turning them into "mushrooms" . They look very good when finished.

All put together, chrome piece, weld seem (white strips) and metal tracks.

Stay tuned, more to come soon-

Those tracks are awesome! The chrome part for the hydraulic cylinder is a neat trick, I'll have to remember that one.

Looking good.

Just to be a distraction...looking at the last two photos you posted, one could have something interesting if they were to turn the engine compartment into the 'cockpit' and finish it off as it is now...

Those tracks look very realistic. What are the kit tracks like in comparison?

The engine compartment makes it look like a tracked AT-ST.

I saw that too, a MLRS or crew served weapon behind the "cab" would work well.

The detail is good, but all the reviews I read said they were a pain to build, so I found the Metal Links to replace them.

1/10/16 Update
The cab is painted and assembled. Very good detail and easy to assemble.

The blade is done too. no problems here, Added chrome pieces to all the  piston rods.

The cab, the roof had issues, had to add the edge overhang in front and on one side.

All the major assemblys done, all the small details remain.  Then on to the "ladder armor"  :o

Looks good.  :)
Wish they'd release a standard unarmoured version.

Looks like a bulldozer !!  Most of the small details are on, starting the PE for the ladder armor. The PE detail sure looks small and thin !! :o :o
