Cuba was supplied with some Yak-38U aircraft after the Bay of Pigs invasion. Fidel's idea was to fully "bomb" all aircraft up for his annual birthday flyby ... after which they would continue on to Florida & drop their ordinance. Fortunately for the USA, the serviceability rate of these aircraft was such that none made it very far out to sea before having to terminate the mission.
