Title: Entwicklungsfahrzeug 79.. and a half..
Post by: uncle les on January 12, 2014, 01:25:03 PM
I rather like Queeg's E82 - which inspired me to drag out some of my forays into '46 German whiffery and here's one I did a few years ago.

I call it the E79, based on E75 running gear, with a scratch hull using Panther upper parts and a much modified Airfix Leopard turret, this is my 1/72 take on a standardised design for a higher speed medium tank.

and here's how they look after casting !

They pop up on ebay from time to time..

Looks like you've got your own armored corps there, uncle les!

Your skills are completely off the charts!

Tell me more about this......
I am presently working on my own E-79.

Not much else to say than what you see or has already been written here.  I felt like making some fictitious German armour and did so using an E75 and a Leopard tank as a basis for conversion.
I look forward to seeing your E79.

you say E-75......
do you mean the Pegasus E-25?

are you selling your castings on ebay?
I may want one just to say I have one :)

You are 100 % correct - that one slipped past me. It is based on an E25 not an E75 (closer to a King Tiger !) Thanks for that.  :)

and yes - I am selling castings on ebay.  I shall pop one up in the couple of days and we'll see how we go.  You can always drop in at www.uncleles.net (http://www.uncleles.net) and use the contact form there to make an enquiry or place an order (the email extension here at BTS is not ideal for conducting business)

I actually thought it was an E-10 with the vertical hull sides and rack guards almost flush with the hull top.

yes, his does look more like a "beefed up"  E-10.
Esp since he used the running gear  from the Pegasus E-25.

@#$%^&*(+!  All three?  BUILt?  For 46 Ozbucks?  I would like just one unbuilt.  With a couple CA-31s would be nice.

Send me a note via the contact form at www.uncleles.net (http://www.uncleles.net) and I'll respond with a quote !  As for the price on the ebay stuff...  I would have preferred more but that's my fault.

Fraid I must take a pass Les.  I have one CA-31, and about 500 other unbuilt kits, and I'm 65 years old.  I'd only end up selling them at some swap meet for pennies on the dollar.  Thanks anyway.
