Hypthetical F-14E, or F/A-14E, with at least some of the Super Tomcat 21 mods, exhaust nozzles modified in shape and finishes to reduce RCS, F110-GE-432 engines (based on F110-GE-132 engines for F-16E/F), and carrying AIM-174B's instead of AIM-54C'swith AIM-9X's on the pylon side mounts.  Alternatively, carriage of a couple enhanced-range AIM-54 with an integral rocket-ramjet motor, plus a couple AIM-174B's, and the AIM-9X's.

Taking the middle Harrier III concept discussed over on Secret Projects, use a variant of the Super Hornet radar, and carry a pair of AIM-174B's, a pair of AIM-120's, and a pair of AIM-9X's in either USMC or USN markings.

Imagine a submersible aircraft carrier with Skyhook launching Harriers from a deck well.

Something like:

Yeah, that'd work.  I was thinking, though, of a twin-presssure hull design like the latest Russian SSBN's.

By the way, the sever that I host my photos on is having some technical difficulties (its being overloaded by bots) so the images might be working intermittently :/

Sometimes you gotta do what you have gotta do. Especially with old school resin conversions. Sounds like you have it sorted.

The Paper Panzer Productions turret is very nicely cast with beautifully sharp details, the bottom of it however is an uneven mess :-X (The raised edges are level but the center has sunk in during casting)

To fix this I used strips of plastic card and Milliput to fill in the rear, which I then vigorously sanded down creating a blizzard of plastic and resin dust in the processes, but I eventually got a nice flat surface.

Another problem with this turret is that the rear sticks out quite a bit, which results in it colliding with vents and hatches etc as it rotates. So I added more plastic card this time to the front of the turret to raise up the rear, giving it enough clearance to now freely rotate 360. Lastly I 3D printed a new turret ring to keep it in place.

I've had this turret for about 8 years, but every time I took it out of its box the gnarly looking bottom put me off building it, I'm glad to have finally gotten it done ;D

PSR is done on the Pinto body and truck fender combo because I said so. Enough already. So, guess what happened? I had sprayed on some primer to help with the PSR and when I sprayed on the white I got a bunch of wrinkles in various spots. Paint gremlins are at it again. Sanded that down and sprayed red after a couple of days and new wrinkles in totally different spots. I had made a box to fit behind the Pinto and gave it a coat of red. It came out fine except for some lint. I sanded that lightly and sprayed it again with the same paint. Wrinkles on the top and one side but not the others. Makes no sense at all. Paint hates me! Is there anyone who would like to paint the things I build?
