Is fine profiling. :)
Republic of Stralya is favorite. Dominican Republic too, camouflage and tiger teeth engines.
Can you do one serving in 1950s SAC (silver & white)?

Beautiful work.
May I request a RNZAF Lancaster? Glossy Sea Blue on top and Insignia White underneath. Some of the their PBY's were painted this way.
-
Raafif,
Very nice indeed, but I'm wondering why the Pakistan Lincoln is wearing the markings of Mauritania?

Of course, for a slightly different scenario for Japanese Lancasters, you could say that Japan was on the Allies side in WWII against Germany - after all they were in WWI.
Either way, great profiles.

Great stuff! Personal fav is the 1948 Libya Lanc (although those Kenyan markings are wonderful too!).

1. kiwiLanc started
2. will try but silver is very hard to do in MS Paint.
3. wrong markings ?? .... plausible denyability !! words fixed.

early & late NZAF Lancs. (should the blue extend down further on the late scheme ??)

SAC Lincoln ... I think the scheme looks better on a B-50.

Thanks so much for the SAC version. Good to see profile of it - interesting.
I agree on B-50

Nice pair.

I really like your alternative Lancs & Lincolns, raafif! Your N. Italian markings are neat. I can see them keeping the House of Savoy cross. Many Italians while being anti-fascist were still supporters of the king.
Nice work!

Thanks for the profiles. The only image I have of RNZAF patrol A/C is a PBY in an AeroMaster decal set. Your second image is what the PBY has. The GSB just barely extends past the upper part of the fuselage.

I like your "reverse lend-lease" Lanc, raafif!

How about a Pacific Theater A-Bomb aircraft? If the B-29 had not been capable of lugging the Gadget to Japan, the plan was to use a Reverse Lend-Lease Lancaster to bomb the target.
Well, Raafif? ;D
-
well, I'll think about it .... as per the SAC Lincoln above, polished-natural-metal doesn't look good on Lancs/Lincs :icon_crap: I have seen several actual models of polished-metal USAF Lancasters ( with Privateer turrets & blisters) & they look "ok" but not "wow!".
I may do an RAF "Atom" ... they needed that ugly saddle-tank on its back to reach Japan tho :icon_nif:

Not to be forgotten are our posts on WW2 tankers & in flight refueling. Even Lancaster-to-Lancaster.
The 1950 SAC Lincoln works for me.
-
A Lincoln with the Tiger Force saddle tanks would be unique. For transport/tanker purposes, how about a design that bears the same relationship to the Lincoln that the Lancastrian bears to the Lancaster? I could easily see that being modified with probe and drogue gear to serve as a tanker (for an expanded capacity tanker, add those saddle tanks again).

A special version of the Avro Lancaster was built to enable the trip to Japan carrying an Atomic Bomb -- this version (only 5 aircraft in all) was named the Avro Atomic. No squadron codes were worn - each aircraft was identified by its individual name.
The fuselage was lengthened to house the extra fuel & the wings extended for added lift, new-type engines were also fitted. Due to the size of the bomb the bombay doors had cut-outs and aerodynamic fairings fore & aft -- these could be jettisoned just before dropping of the Bomb if necessary.

The "Atomic" would become the prototype for the post-war Avro Lincoln.

Yes, excellent work. Interesting subject matter indeed.
