IPMS Deutschland has some first pics and a preliminary list of new releases announced at this year's Toy Fair.

Neuheit - news - why they labelled some "Neuheit" (news) is beyond me, as anything announced there should be news... ??? In this regard it probably means "new tool".

Überhang - backlog
Hasegawa's doing their own 1/72 Eurofighter. Their home market (and Hasegawa's accounting office) will probably be pleased. For everyone else, there's the Revell kit (which comes as a display stand for the modern European weapons set the kit actually is).

You gotta love the phrase "Überhang ". Somehow that says backorder even better. I picture a long list with the end hanging off a desk in some dusty, forgotten office.
Our friends at Revell have some interesting stuff even if they're a bit challenged by the Air Force One scheme.

I was quite excited when Revell announced a set of modern pilots in 1/72. THIS PICTURE (http://data4.primeportal.net/models/thomas_voigt6/revell/images/revell_29_of_30.jpg), however, puts a dampener on that enthusiasm. Lots of people uselessly and unnecessarily pointing at stuff. Pilots don't POINT at planes, they FLY them. Unless of course, they're pointing at some other plane saying: "Oh, look at that. That pilot knows how to fly. He probably has his hands where they belong". Some pretty clever people invented that awesome thing that's HOTAS, but people making pilot figures seem to constantly ignore this. Didn't anybody ever tell them about "hands on the wheel"? Oh well, at least they're not the 1960's-Airfix-hands-in-the-lap-autopilot's-working-a-okay-type.
And of all the standing dudes (and dudette, apparently): way too many people doing the sorry-can't-hear-you-over-the-sound-of-how-awesome-I-am-thing.
I mean, seriously, a couple of figures sitting in their planes with their hands at the controls. Maybe the backseater pressing some switches or reading maps/manuals/Penthouse. Can't be too hard, can it?
The only people supposed to point are crew chiefs, yelling at the pilots: "How did you manage to put a dent into (thing he's pointing at) on MY plane?"
Sorta-rant OVER! :P

Hopefully it's just the angle of the photo, but that Seafang looks too deep through
the fuselage centre in way of the cockpit.
As to the ZM Uhu, what I see is a great parts resource for sci-fi builds. ;D
