Land / Re: A few 1/35 IFV's and AFV's
« Last post by Ramba on Yesterday at 09:48:18 PM »The third and fourth ones are both Dragon BMP-2's. One is the BMP-2E Afghanistan kit and the other was a rebox by Italeri.
The BMP-2E box had a few surprises included jam packed inside. A lot fo resin and brass upgrade parts. This is only a fraction of what was included.
This is the Italeri rebox of the Dragon kit.
The Italeri BMP-2 rebox and the Trumpeter BMP-1 Shkval will both be in overall green. I am thinking of using the Mission Model MMP-032 Modern Russian Green.

Here are the first two.
Trumpeter BMP-1 converted to BMP-1 Basurmanin using the Trumpeter BTR-80A turret. I had the BTR-80A turret as left over.
Second one is another Trumpeter BMP-1 variant. I am using the SP Designs Shkval conversion set. The resin gun barrel was badly warped but some hot water cured it.

Events / Fleet Week 2024
« Last post by Frank3k on Yesterday at 01:01:09 PM »This took place today in San Pedro, Los Angeles, next to the USS Iowa. There were vehicles from the US Navy, Marines, Army and Space Force (space debris).
My wife was working the Space Force tent (which got quite a few visitors - there were still people dropping by when I was helping tear down the tent). It was extremely crowded, but it was a sunny and cool day, so I got some pictures (mostly reference pictures - tire wear, scratches on the paint, etc.) when I could get a view past the heads and asses. I didn't go on board the USS Iowa, in part because it was a 4 hour wait.
The Iowa is very, very big:
MRZR D4 Ultra-light Tactical All-terrain Vehicle. Magic Factory did a good job on their kit. I remember all of the small parts:
M151 without weapons:
Must be a British made M1 - note the oil pans:
The Marines were letting people play with stingers and M4A1 carbines (I didn't get any pics of those)
The Army had some drones:
The official bird of Los Angeles was showing off its plumage. Noisy little bastards:
