Coming along quite nicely.  Some excellent design modification engineering, too.

Thanks, Gents . . .   :-[
Here the model with the basecoat painted.

I've gone for a 'Maritime Grey', as a change from winter white, as the model is depicted as operating on Lake Ladoga during the Summer, as also as a backdrop for the markings i will be using . . .   ;)
The floats will be silver, to represent the natural metal, I'm assuming for this Build that the Soviets know how to manufacture 'Alclad' metal . . .
That's All For Now, Stay tuned . . .

cheers,
Robin.

So, 'Mosquito Pattern' disruptive scheme to be added over top of the 'Maritime Grey'?

NKL-16M Hydrosan, Lake Ladoga, 1941

The model shows one of the dozen or so NKL-16Ms with Red Cross markings, ostensibly for humanitarian missions (serious casualties out, medical supplies and personnel in). However the beseigeing Germans suspected that these vehicles were actually being used as couriers for intelligence, orders, and VIPs. The Soviets of course, denied this emphatically.
Local commanders requested that Berlin make 'enquiries' through Red Cross channels to ascertain exactly what was going on. However the OKH decided against this, for fear of turning the spotlight on their own 'indiscretions', regarding the Red Cross . . . it is likely that the truth will never now see the light of day . . .

cheers,
Robin.

Thanks, all . . . the spare prop actually comes with the kit OOB, you also get a spare ski, to put on the roof, if you build it as intended.
What my model really needs is an anchor . . .

Very nice.

So if it was captured by the Germans and kept in the ambulance role would it be
a Hydrosanitätswagen.
