Technically wouldn't the Indonesian Pulau Rau class be the final series of R-boats.  They were built 1954-57 and only retired in 1974.

Wasn't even aware of them.

I thought the last usage was the Cypriot Civil War.

The Räumbootes were designed as small minesweepers, not high-speed torpedo, patrol or attack boats.
I've created a new topic.

One I was not aware of until today:  The Indonesian Navy KRI Klewang-class fast attack craft:

Unfortunately, it was destroyed back in 2012 only weeks after being launched:

Nobody, it burned up while being fitted out. The company that built it was setup by a couple
of Swedes and it was designed in concert with a naval architecture firm in New Zealand.

There was no skilled labour base so flat panel design for the all composite construction was
a given.

Austal?

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Apart from hating competition on trimarans, Austal also has experience in highly flammable (well actually meltable) patrol boats.

https://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/navy-patrol-boat-hmas-bundaberg-catches-fire-while-undergoing-refit-at-hemmant-shipyard/news-story/db2e76f21bbd4568cc791d537c43642d

No great loss as the classes structural issues are so severe that burning to the ground (or waterline) actually makes very little difference to their capability or longevity.

Not saying Austal's political connections, rather than their performance, is what continues to get them contracts, but......

I wonder how long this one will last.  ;D

I have some serious doubts about the ‘stealth’ claims.
