That looks well doable. The only question would be where do you put the guns? F-94A style wing pods?

Skyfox was shown to the Canadian Forces, stopping at several bases.

It would be nice to do one up as a 414 (EW) Sqdn CE-133, but using the tiptank mounts for Growler-style EW pods. Maybe have them self powered using the turbine from an ALQ pod (the type regular T-birds carried)?

I'd go with a minimum-change conversion and use F-94-style gun pods; redesigning the wing to stick guns in would be an expensive pain and definitely cut down on rage by eliminating the wing tanks.

It actually reminds me of Saab 32 (which I always felt to be what a faster, reinvented P-80 might look like)......

Thanks Jon.

The P-80E has a scaled down F-94C backend. Not sure about the wings. XF-90 maybe?

I don't know that it's that scaled down either, since the two aircraft are pretty much the same size.  I think the wings may stem from the same data as the F-90's so one could be scaled from the other (much as the F404 and F110 share similar nozzle contours, just scaled differently).  I do remember reading that the P-80E started with a T-33 fuselage and went to a single-seat cockpit and canopy while keeping the extra length.

P-80E using a T-Bird fuse would let you move the avionics to the rear and mount all the guns. Best of both worlds. :)

For the P-80E, I've set aside a P-80, T-33 and a F-94C. What about the wings. The degrees of sweep back appears to be about 20-25o. But for the life of me I cannot find a protractor. Any suggestions on a donor kit? The big issue will be the main gear and its inward retraction. The Heller Saab Lansen comes to mind.

Swept wings P-80

I took my Revell G.91 and was able to attach the tail. A very good fit with a bit of PSR.  But the G.91 wings are too small. It appears that in the drawing that they have been scaled up by 5-10%. So the current kit wings are too small. So I'll use F-86 wings cut back by 1/4" or so.

Pictures will be provided later today.

133450... I know that old girl! :)

Back when Canadian-based T-Birds were still wearing natural metal the birds assigned to Germany wore camo. There would always be one camo bird in North Bay, we did the heavy maintenance checks for Germany.
