I'm not sure if these have been mentioned before but I thought they were cool!

I second that. Those are absolutely brilliant, and are as easy to use as decals (since, really, that *is* what they are!)

Scott Van Aken did a product review last week on the Archer Fine Transfers 88000 Surface Detail Sampler (http://www.modelingmadness.com/scott/decals/archer/ar88000.htm) and includes an image along with his observations on the product.

I've used these a few times. My sample had some adhesive issues, and Woody would have replaced them on the spot, but I decided to use them. They'll stick just fine under a layer of primer. You have to cut the decal close to the resin bits, and you do get a slight step from the decal backing, but the step is very hard to see and the decals are far better than all other rivet methods in both time required and accuracy. The rivets on the side of the mantlet below are ALL Archer resin rivets:

Thanks for the review Frank! The 'step' is a little unfortunate but the effect looks great on your model.
