Seen here is the naval version of the better known DHC-1 Chipmunk. Using the excellent training aircraft already in use by the RCAF, the RCN requirements were folding wings, tail hook, and a more robust landing gear. Designated CT-120N "Chipmunk" by the Canadian Armed forces after unificiation, it was also known by the manufacturer designation of DHC-1N "Chipmunk", but was generally known merely as the "Shipmunk". Kit used: Airfix 1/48 Modifications: Folded wings, home made bubble canopy, markings from Belcher Bits decal sheets.
