Nice tribute. :)

he disappeared in a P38 in 1944.

His F-5B (Recon variant of P-38  ) was officially rediscovered in 2000.

That's a nice tribute to Saint Exupery. The Little Prince is one of my favorite books.

I like the colored pencils. They remind me of those wonderful drawings of the Little Prince and all the places he visited.

the previous whale on its boosters, Jaws-like :

made from a Pegasus Shark kit (which has two optional heads : I have one left for some other purpose ...)

I discovered the existence of Sharknado only recently, and never saw it but it does reach unprecedented imagination indeed ;-)

Tu20 and giant squid/calamar Re: hybrid aircraft/animals and others

another aircraft/animal hybrid, using an east-german kit of a "Tu-20", which seems to be a Tu-95 Bear variant, with a strange flattened nose, at 1/100, and a giant squid or calamar, in yellow :

the reciprocal is drying, in red, but the humbrol enamel reacts bizarely with the squids tentacles plastic, and seems to take ages to dry, whereas the plastic of the head reacts better ...

I've seen a design-office drawing of a super-sonic transport (Concord?) with a similar nose .... think it was a "pre-canard" thought.

Your Tupelov Squid really made my day, eric!

You see, I have this friend who really likes squid, finds them delicious in fact.

I can't think of any seafood I'd enjoy half as much as this model!

Nice work!

I'd rather chew on the plastic model than squid!
I shall call you "Squidbear"!

Squidbear is a good name !

Bearsquid might work too? but that will be for the reciprocal build
(pictures coming soon, but the paint doesn't want to dry ...)

It is the nose of the Bear that inspired me :

and now the other way round, in red :

the sheet of paper is there because the humbrol enamel red paint somehow refuses to dry on the tentacles plastic/rubber ... a chemistry issue, I guess
