Wow Steve!! Which plans and what materials did you use to make the Mars Ship?

Was it this page at Encyclopedia Astronautica?

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

The lander rocket body is turned out of wood, the wings were made of 1/32 in. plywood on one side, curved, and the the rest of the wing volume built up of wood bits and resin. The lower body is made of PVC pipe, with wood end caps. The fuel tanks and frame work is as per the Moon ship, Christmas tree ornaments and soldered brass square tube. The rocket motors are simply additional resin copies of the same motors used on the Moon ship.

A bunch more progress. And the bulk of the data was from Jack Hagerty's Spaceship Handbook , however, the material was a bit weak, and even the Bonestell art was a bit contradictory, so I had to compromise things to pull it together.

After seeing your handy dandy engine work up close at Skyway and now whole build with fuselage and wings can extra appreciate your commendable effort.
To all --- engine with its scratch work is impressive. :)

Those DYI clear styrene globes are great, a wide range of sizes and in easy to use plastic. I also found larger spheres that I can do a full scale Vanguard 1 with.
