The thought process behind this build was simple. This is what the subject title entails. An old soon-to-be retired anti-gravity fuel/maintenance barg

Love it :-*
... An old soon-to-be retired anti-gravity fuel/maintenance barge...
That's a shame. Surely swapping in some later-model Babson gravito-electric couplers - such as the Fifth Force FFXG-31 - would extend the run-time of this handy-looking unit? ;)
-
Wonderfully McCue-esque piece, tiking! 8)

Good point. May have to run it by the head mechanic and see if it will be possible.
-
Cool!
Looks like it has some good years left on it...maybe not in the big shipyards/spaceports, but maybe the more backwater regions?

Like it a lot.
Models of the boring and mundane bits of life are hard to come by.
Well done
-
Thank u guys. Appreciate the love.

Trusty old A/G barge obviously seen lot of duty. Weathered over the years but weathered its service well. Excellent build of unusual subject.
-
Beautiful model of a heavily used piece of equipment. It has a "used hard but well maintained" look about it that suggests that it has a lot of service life left in it.

Sums it up for me too another class build

I guess so. I think the Yard Master/head mechanic, likes that suggestion. Another year or two in low level ship yard.

Glad you liked it.

Definitely getting a really solid "Tales from the Loop" vibe with this one Charles. Great stuff!

Tales from the Loop! That's why it seemed so familiar, intentional or not. Great job, Charles! You should check out Simon Stålenhag's artwork for inspiration, if you haven't seen his work.

Never heard of 'Tales from the loop', before. Simon Stålenhag I've heard of, the artist from Sweden.

His artwork is fantastic (https://www.google.com/search?q=Simon+St%C3%A5lenhag&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj8mf_2oqXrAhVCGDQIHXSbC8QQ_AUoAXoECB0QAw&biw=2560&bih=1270) He's on Twitter as well. "Tales from the Loop" is a Amazon Prime live action series based - in part - on some of the artwork from his book(s).
