Ok... so I skipped a few updates here, but (minus a few odds and ends) my Ghibli mini-project is more or less done. So, to celebrate, I took a few group shots. In the picture you'll find:
- The submarine from Ponyo (complete with a bubble and a light switch!)
- Jiro's birdplane from The Wind Rises
- the Mehve glider from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
- an Aero-Kayak from Howl's Moving Castle
- a loaded up 3-wheel truck from My Neighbour Totoro
- a Flapter from Laputa: Castle in the Sky
- the propeller bike/ witch's broomstick from Kiki's Delivery Service
And last, and probably least...
- No Face and the frogman from Spirited Away. The frogman might be hard to spot because he's... inside No Face. It was just a fun little resin casting project involving a bit of crystal resin, some black paint, a 1/150 figure and a bit of epoxy putty frog makeup.
Of course, seconds after taking these pics, I knocked the Laputa Flapter off the edge. Luckily a bit of CA glue was all that was needed to reattach one of the wings and half the seat belt. Whew!
