Came to this one late, but then I can see the complete build thread.

WOOOOOOOW!  really nice result, would not have dreamed of mating those two aircraft. It doesn't matter if you do not win any prizes, you can smother yourself in the smugness of a whiff excellently done <----- insert wildly clapping emoji here-------- >.

nice one !

My goodness OW, your Grebe is just outstanding!  :))   I think it contains every element a great WIF should have, most notably talent 8)  Exceptionally well done, my friend.  Any idea of how many hours invested?  (I may have missed this)

Best regards,
Kem

Thanks, Kem!

If I had any idea about the number of hours I put into a build I might question my sanity. :-\

So, I don't keep track of how long a build takes, it takes as long as it takes. In this case it has taken more hours than the ASLAV 1A2 but less that the High Mobility Battlefield Logistics Transport (which, still, isn't quite finished). ;)

Studied FB-2G Grebe build again.  Amazed with RW credibility appearance.  Is inspiring for one with bit of USN time.
Challenging as PBH-417 build was; FB-2G build has me considering possibilities for another flying boat or seaplane.  Some less RW-ish than either our builds.  Am contemplating a few ideas mild to kinda wild.
Thanks for keeping me seaplaney inspired.

Like to do/try what you did.  Graft flying boat bottom onto land plane.  End up 1/72 and likely be a scale-o-rama.
Have a first concept to gather kits for.  Ruffly size up fit for doability.  Take it from there...............

That did finish up nicely - I don't normally like ASR schemes - too damn cheery for the most part - but in
combination with the build itself, it is amazing. Well done amigo.
