Title: Frozen Spaghetti - Super fast build :-)
Post by: PantherG on March 02, 2012, 06:07:00 AM
Only like a joke today I started a "Super fast build"....
I was bored and then I took  box with Italeri MC-202 1:72...... At first look its fine kit,but ...thru the work I dontīlike this kit....
At first I consider between Finnish and Swedish camouflage. Swedish decals I found first....

I started at 12:30 PM and finish was about 10:00 PM...so...about 8 hours,but "clear time" was about 5,5 - 6 hours.....  ;D ;D
And result? Pure straight out of box"... only colours are different.... ooh...dacals are from Airfix Vampir FB.5/J-28B...

Well done, Panther! Looks a natural in those markings, too.

Very impressive, especially given the short amount of time it took you to complete it!

What a GB? "Frozen Spaghetti GB" (italians on frozen north) or "Super fast GB"?

On Cz What if SIG once time (past year) we make a "24hours build GB"... To make and finish kit in 24 hours... So...then I make Westland Siskin (Old Matchbox),but because I was sick (I had fever and maybe 12 hours I slept with fever) my build lasted 36 hours, but Siskin was completly finished ( http://modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=253&t=51357&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=Siskin&start=45 (http://modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=253&t=51357&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=Siskin&start=45)  - sorry for poor qualiti of pics.... my camera was too sick )....
And for "Frozen Spaghetti GB" I drew some pics (like Swedish and Finnish Re.2005)....and this is not so much problem to draw more Italian planes in "Nordics markings"  ;D

Given that Sweden did buy Re.2000's, other Italian designs definitely seem appropriate for their use.  The MC.202 would be a great follow-on with any of the "5-Series" fighters following it up (I could see a mix of MC.205's and Re.2005's replacing MC.202's and Re.2000's respectively).  And if Sweden used them, how about other Nordic countries such as Finland and Norway?

Considering the time, thats one great looking model. :)

Now then, are you going to better that time with your next speed build? >:D
