Title: Brown out effect
Post by: tc2324 on January 12, 2012, 09:57:50 PM
Hi chaps,

A forum member, on another forum I`m afraid, wants to make a diorama of a Wokka landing, kicking up loads of dust in a desert (the dust would ideally engulf most of the chinook).

Any suggestions or tips would be great.

hmmm the first thing I can think of is having the rear wheels touching as the helicopter "flares" in for the landing. the Second is to actually suspend the helicopter in the air, and use whatever water sculpt painted brown and have it holding onto the rotor blades really subtlety

Cotton wool balls, appropriately dyed maybe?

Further to my last suggestion, may I suggest you look at this:   Making the Dust Clouds (http://www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=110&art_id=416)
