Spitfire Mk22 Post War

Hi all

Model number five and the last of the Backlog.

This is the new Airfix kit built straight out of the box (boring  ::)) in my defence I liked the the silver paint scheme. It's nice to see the Spitfire out of camouflage.

It is not a bad fitting kit and the decals are excellent.

It is airbrushed using Tamiya paints finished with MCN acrylic matt varnish.

Here's the pics :-

Remembered to take the scale shots this time  ;)....

Shiny and Spitfire are two words that are seldom seen together.

Definitely very nice to see a Spitfire in something other than camouflage for a change.

I, on the other hand, think a Spitfire without camouflage looks odd ... undressed, even. :-\

Very nice build, though, 'Mog! 8)

But slightly embarrassing in its nakedness. ;)

A late model Spitfire in silver, with a splash of colour.... What's not to like  :-*

The silver looks a little dull in some of the photos. It might be the lighting or reflections of surrounding items. Do you feel like experimenting with the lighting, including some natural light?

Thanks guys

Pertime :- I use a small photobooth with LED striplights and my mobile phone to take the pictures. The silver finish is flat  aluminium with matt varnish finish so it will appear a little drab, for silver.  ;)

Thinks :- aargh !   I could have mild whiffed it with chrome silver and really made it shiny ahhh the joys of 20/20 hindsight  :icon_zombie: ;D
