and mentioned another novel using Sanger's project, Hell's Gate which has it's implausible elements but, in the right hands, would make a great retro-technothriller action movie along the lines of the first "Indiana Jones" movie.

Perhaps start with a kit of one of the larger paddle-wheeled steamships (is a kit of the Great Eastern available?) and replace the paddle wheels with driving wheels as a beginning.

Check out R/C vehicle wheels for something large.

First tweek - wood hull and wood wheels would strike me as lighter and cooler.

Found on Twitter.

The text in the post: Chris Kraft lamented the retirement of the Space Shuttle and thought we should have moved forward with the overall design and fixed its fundamental issues instead.  Indeed,  the Block II changes would have significantly mitigated many of STS's most pressing shortcomings.

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

I found the tweet which describes the shuttle's safe abort envelope. Not a lot of "feeling good zones". This one preceded the Block II Shuttle tweet.

This graph is a good illustrator for just how unforgiving the Space Shuttle's safe abort envelope was, and I use safe in highly relative terms. The black zones all indicate areas of the ascent in which loss of crew and vehicle are extremely likely.

A photographer in Costa Rica observed a “Manta Ray”-shaped UFO, which had no visible means of propulsion. Which means it’s not a drone! In fact, it appears to be using some kind of anti-gravity drive. The above video contains massively zoomed-in closeups of the object, so you can judge for yourself.

Harvard's Avi Loeb more sure than ever we were visited by alien spacecraft
Avi Loeb says 'Oumuamua may have actually been an alien light sail. The renowned scientist made waves claiming the interstellar object 'Oumuamua might be extraterrestrial. Now he's doubling down.
