Title: Curtiss H-16 Airliner
Post by: Acree on February 02, 2015, 09:06:46 AM
This is my major contribution the GB (though I may have a couple of less-ambitious entries as well) - it was a generous prize given by Brian de Basher for the Great War GB.  1/72 scale Roden Curtiss H-16.  I will convert it into a pioneer airliner in Alaska - using the decals shown in the second photo.  Wish me luck - I'll need it!

Cool!

It worked for Aeromarine.  :)

Upperçu converted Curtiss HS-2L boats into the Model 80/85 and
Felixstowe F-5Ls into the Model 75.

Here's a Model 80, with the passengers under cover and the pilots out where they belong.  ;D

Tourist flights of local area for ~30 minutes in Areomarine Buckeye would be a kick.

Waiting to see H-16 airliner build !

Well, life got in the way of this one, too.  I'm still working on it, but the two x 42-piece Liberty engines really slowed me down, and the carpet monster was a major nemesis, too.  I might get this done before the VTOL GB starts (hope so, anyway!).  Here's a couple of in (little) progress shots:
