Buzzbomb Team Racer
« on: June 28, 2017, 07:42:58 PM »
with the indulgence of the Chief Racing Steward, I would like to offer up this proposal

I reckon that I can turn this racer, which is in a very much sore and sorry state and turn it into another type of racer.. I have a vision :o

Hopefully it will not turn into an Arrows or Minardi team

Will that stay a car in repair or is the final goal a finished racer ready to race?

Lots of hackage and sandage and we have a basis

What my mind saw was some sort of Anti Grav Racer so far we have this

there is much tusselling between the voices in my head as to what goes on the front.. jet type engines or something more modular and solid state.
As the solid state voice is sort of winning I am now playing with shapes to see what looks coolest.. functional does not really enter into this sort of thing >:D

Upon looking at the canopy in pix, it, to put it bluntly.....sucks. Will be revisiting that
So more pondering and listening to the voices in my head.
Unless there is a fantastic idea I can blatantly steal from here :D

Well that's certainly different and not at all what I was expecting. Great concept and definitely looking forward to seeing it develop.  :)

Your concept makes me think of Blade Runner, perhaps a follow-on, up-dated, more high-tech, maybe set in Sydney?

Looking good!

I haven't words enough to describe how much I like it!

How did you build those tubes going around the forward round shape?

I really like where this is going! Although I've toyed with the idea of an open wheel racer as a flyer or A/G vehicle in the past, I never actually built one. It'll be cool to see how this turns out.

Team Buzzbomb entry has sputtered over the finish line, totally out of mojo :-\
Not quite what I think I wanted, but nonetheless.. somewhere close to perhaps, maybe approaching the original concept.

The good things were, there are not enough time one gets to use purple paint. Except here.
Some of the decals are showing their age and the homemade ones suffered from ink bleed.
Gripe, gripe, gripe.. still Done !!!!

Now that's an absolute stunner!

Wouldn't have noticed anything amiss on the decals if you hadn't mentioned it. Looks like perfect wear/weathering to me.
