Dear Freedom Model Kits, now that you have produced a proper F-20A and F-20N, could we have a flat canopy, no radar, original intake F-4A prototype Phantom?  From that I'd take it to a single seater attack aircraft.

Hi Daryl,

I'll send this on to HQ sir. I like the idea actually. Do you have some shots of the aircraft that you would like to build from?

Falcon does a nice conversion for this one in 1/48 and ISTR that DB (DB Models?) did a resin conversion in both 1/72 and 1/48.  Search for pictures of the YF4H-1 and F-4A and you should find plenty of info.  If memory serves me correctly, one of these aircraft was part of the Sageburner low-altitude speed record effort.

This gives you an idea of the changes necessary - I will post some more details later:

Cutting Edge has done 1/48 and 1/32 conversions I believe - you can see a write up on the 1/48 one here and one on the 1/32 and 1/48 ones here.  That said, the Cutting Edge ones are well out of production and increasingly rare.

Dear Airfix:  Please enlarge 1/144 Heracles to 1/72.
Used 1/144 as core kit for Slowly Jet.
1/72 kit has super kitbashing potential.  Mild to major changes can yield interesting results.

1/48 kit could be bashed into large 1/72 build !

Dear Hobbyboss,

Please either release the 1/35 SEAL DPV (at long last) or remove it from your catalogue.

Thanks,
Me.

Knowing Hobbyboss, the SEAL DPV will have delicate, weight carrying parts with tinny connecting pins, vague instructions and a sheet of PE full of microscopic parts that will be invisible after construction. One tiny PE part will be critical to the stability of the model, too.

Dear Tamiya model company... or anyone else for that matter!
How about an up-to-date F-16E/F/I variant in 1/72?
We've got the Hasegawa and Kinetic F-16I, but the E/F variants have been forgotten in this scale... >:(
And how about an accurate YF-23? The F-23A would be even better but i'd be happy with a good 1/72 YF...

I know that I would buy the following in 1/35 plastic if they were produced.

WWII era:
All of the American ones mentioned: T29, T30, T32, T34, etc.
T26E5 "Jumbo" Pershing that was going to be used for the invasion of the Japanese Home Islands.
M38 Wolfhound Armored Car.
A30 Challenger tank.
A43 Black Prince tank
A33 Excelsior tank.

Cold War era:
T92 light tank
Caernarvon tank
Conway tank destroyer
Saracen

Modern era:
Israeli Namer with Samson 30 mm RCWS option
Turkish Tulpar IFV
Turkish Altay MBT
ASCOD Pizarro/Uhlan IFV (I know Nimix out of Spain has a resin version)
Italian Dardo IFV
ROK K21 IFV
ROK K2 Panther MBT
Indian Arjun and Arjun MKII MBT
Jordanian Falcon Turret conversion or better yet complete plastic kit based on the demonstrator

Given Amodels' current leaning for commuter and corporate types in 1/72, I'd like to see the following from them in 1/72:

Dornier 228 (The Revell one is buildable but toylike in many ways)

Dornier 328

Saab 340

HFB-320 Hansa Jet

HS-125 family

Honda HA-420 HondaJet

It can be made to look good though:

Dornier 328:  kind of a model kit:

Saab 340:

HFB-320 Hansa Jet:

HS-125 family:

Honda HA-420 HondaJet:  No 1/72 that I am aware of but EBBRO are supposedly doing a 1/48 one:

- > A 1/72 Scale AVRO Manchester injected plastic kit series ala the near impossible to find Planet Models resins (Airfix told me they'll "never" do that  :icon_crap: )

- > Whole bunch other 1/72 scale airplane subjects I'd have to prioritize but for now would settle for a reissue of the Ki-21-IIb that's also near impossible to find!

How about a 1/72 and 1/48 Learjet 25?  in 1/48, either as a stand-alone kit or as a conversion kit for either the Testors/IMC/et al. Learjet 24 or the Hasegawa Learjet 35/36.  If you really wanted to do a full range, have both the early version with the oval windows and the later version with the rectangular windows.

There was an attempt made to produce a resin 1:35th scale CH-53/MH-53 kit many years ago.  Mostly hype but a lot of people were dropping money on pre-ordering the kit in hopes of getting in before the price and demand jumped.  Then it all folded up and disappeared like vapor ware and politician's promises.  A shame too as they were offering the Pave Low version as the first kit in the product line.

That was NightFlight Models wasn't it?  I'm kind of surprised Trumpeter haven't released one given they have done a bunch of other helicopters in 1/35.

@Greg - yeah, probably was NightFlight Models, the name alone should have been a tell as to the whole thing being a bit dodgy from the start.  A real 'fly by night' operation.

Same here, especially as they've done little ones like Chinooks 'n' all. ::)

Might cost an arm & a leg but it'd be cheaper than both arms, both legs, kidneys, liver, spleen & corneas required to afford a resin version in 1/35. :icon_crap:

A 1/1 from Boeing would be cheaper than a resin 1/35 kit.

I wouldn't have classed a CH-47 as smaller than a CH-53.

Strangely, I have a 1/35 CH-47 in my stash --- and parts for a 1/32 one too. Plus a 1/48 CH-53
