Ok folks, I finally got around to getting this sorted. It's time to vote on which Group Builds you would like to see in 2021. I have put up all the suggestions proposed in the last 12mths. See here for more info on each - starting at about Reply#536. Also feel free to ask. Please note that I may have tweaked a couple.

Poll will run for 2wks. Each member gets 5 votes and you are able to change your mind if you so desire (e.g. to help whittle down the results if you see your preferred is not going anywhere). Campaigning to get your favourites picked is allowed.

Plan is to have the first new GB start no later than 1st April 2021 - sounds ominous

The '46 GB is winning?? Seriously??!! Come on folks, isn't that a little bit of a old choice for this genre?

Hmm.. interesting numbers.

I would suggest though that Zombie and Post apocalypse are almost/essentially the same thing and could easily be combined. That could be a vote bleed.

I do like a bit of '46 though

Well, considering how successful (not) this years GB's are/were, there's not a lot of hope in next years --- just my 10¢ worth

I had grand intentions for the 2020 Group Builds, and didn't do anything.

I have similar hopes/plans/intentions for 2021. We'll see what actually gets done.

Also, couldn't Man in the High Castle be folded into '46? Seems like they are very similar.

Agreed.

So far the numbers are looking very interesting.

Unfortunately, with the exception of the GB I'm moderating over on WIM as of 1st March, I've sworn off GBs (even if it's a theme I find really, really interesting) unless they align directly with the build I intend working on at that time.

It might be an idea to have something along the lines that What-If Forum has, there's theme builds. Not a GB and anyone can start one and anyone can join in if they want. There's no time limit in any of them either

I do sometimes like the time constraints of a group build - it tends to focus me a bit more, but themed builds sound
like a viable alternative.

In any case, I'm glad to see the 20's/30's GB has strong support - and while I have only the vaguest notion of how to honor the RAAF, I've seen what Drop Bears can do - count me in.

I've got an idea instead of the RAAF 100th, how about a "there was never a RAF/RAAF/RCAF etc etc" group build?

That would work. Just so long as it is tied to the RAAF somehow...

Post Apocalyptic GB : AUG-SEP 2021
Naval GB : OCT-NOV 2021
100th anniversary of the RAAF GB : DEC 2021-JAN 2022
Extended Vietnam War GB : FEB-MAR 2022
