Official Group Builds for 2020:

  • Sci-Fi GB:  1 Feb - 30 Apr:  Moderator:  taiidantomcat
  • Fire fighting GB:  1 Apr - 30 Jun:  Moderator:  LemonJello
  • Brian da Basher/Brian Perri Memorial GB:  1 Jun - 31 Aug:  Moderator: GTX_Admin
  • Invasion of Japan/Japan ‘46 GB:  1 Sep - 30 Nov:  Moderator:  Artoor_K 
  • Helicopters & autogyros GB:  1 Dec - 31 Jan:  Moderator:  Artoor_K   
  • Scaleorama GB:  1 Feb - 31 Mar 2021  Moderator:  LemonJello

Plus...

2020 Year long quick build (no more than 48 hours) GB as well - propose this be run concurrently with above, over an extended period throughout the year.  This allows people to enter anything they do that satisfies the criteria throughout the year. Moderator:  taiidantomcat

Now,as to Moderators, I welcome volunteers.  If these don't come forward, I will 'volunteer' some. ;)

I really like this idea, I've wanted to do a 48 hour build forever but I have no idea when my schedule will allow it. The flexibility of having it open for the year gives me some real hope  :D

I have some ideas percolating in my wayward mind about working in a Trashcanistan project among the different group builds. The firefighting GB could actually happen. Must search the junk drawers some more.

I might jump on that. Its relatively hands off since its so long term. Just have to get the area set up, and the relatively unique nature of the GB time duration, build duration, explained in the rules.

Er, shouldn't that be 28 Feb 2021 or 01 mar 2021?  Not to be a JMN about it, but 2020 is the leap year, not 2021.

That's what you think but I declared a new day to the year.  There will also be a new month between June and July to allow me to catch up on all the work I need.... ;) ;D

Folks,

Given the recent death of one of our founders and hobby stalwarts, Brian Perri (see here), we have decided to replace the "Civil Transport GB" from 1 Jun - 31 Aug" with a memorial build for Brian.  There will be no vote but rather it would be simply one to celebrate Brian's contribution to the hobby.  Please stand by for more information to follow.

Given the delay in starting the Invasion of Japan/Japan ‘46 GB I have decided to simply slide all the remaining GBs (this included) by 1mth.  I am still looking for a GB Moderator for this one too - don't make me volunteer someone. C:-)
